Songs, films, there is still so much of the world I wanted to discover with you.
I still wish I could watch another film beside you, then spend the rest of the night showing you a song I thought you might love. There were so many little things left to share, so many moments that never had the chance to exist.
But perhaps fate has already spoken, and this is simply the reality I have to accept.
I told my friends that I am fine, and I am. It no longer hurts the way it once did. The sharpness has faded into something quieter, something I can carry.
And if you ever found your way back to me, I think I would still greet you with open arms.
Perhaps in another lifetime, we would have been one of those beautiful miracles that somehow found their way to each other and stayed.
For now, I am simply tired, worn down by the loss, exhausted from carrying everything I never got to say.
But you will always have a place somewhere within me, beyond distance, beyond time, beyond whatever this lifetime decides for us.
There is still so much I want to tell you. Perhaps I always will.
So I will leave these words here inside me, until whatever lies beyond this life brings our paths together again.
For now, I shall keep the words away from my mouth, as nothing I say now will help.
